Dear Friends,
The last number of months have been exciting, challenging and productive. As I write today, I and the Liberal Party are back in Ottawa working hard. We are looking to make positive changes in the lives of all Labradorians and all Canadians. We are looking to create jobs for today and jobs for tomorrow. We are working to ensure that there is true equality for all women, for all Aboriginal people and opportunities for Youth. We are seeking ways to preserve and enhance our democratic institutions, to improve our democracy and to ensure that your voice and your rights are protected.
In the coming weeks, there will be much focus on the North, on Health care and on Education. I would invite all visitors to my site to present any suggestions that you may have. Together, we can build a stronger Canada.
I look forward to seeing some of you at the Northern Lights Conference 2010 in Montreal this weekend. It will be another great occasion to showcase Northern businesses, our culture and the arts.
As well, the Labrador Winter Games are fast approaching. As the time draws nearer, the excitement builds. Once again, we will celebrate the hard work of each athlete, along with the support of their families, coaches, volunteers and organizer. It will surely be a special week for all Labradorians and those who will visit us for this spectacular event.
I look forward to meeting with my Labrador friends in the coming weeks and months as I make my way to the communities. My travels will also take me to other parts of Canada where I can engage and share with other Canadians.
Please feel free to contact me with any events or news that you feel are important. I am always willing to share my time and energy in building a united Labrador and Canada.
